• Team Format: Each team must consist of 4 players, including at least one female player.

The Kiwi Tamil Samoogam (KTS) is proud to announce the return of our KTS Chess Tournament for its second year! After the fantastic response to last year’s tournament, we’re thrilled to bring back this exciting event — packed with strategy, competition, and community spirit.

Whether you're an experienced player or just getting started, this is your chance to challenge yourself and have some fun on the board.

• Date: Saturday, 2nd August 2025

• Time: From 8:30 AM onwards

• Venue: 5 Croskery Road, Papakura

Who Can Participate?

This is an open tournament — all ages and communities are welcome. Players will be grouped by age categories, and we encourage everyone from beginners to seasoned players to take part.

What to Expect:

• Well-structured rounds of play with fair matchups

• Trophies and medals for category winners

Get ready to celebrate the vibrant and joyous festival of Pongal! 🪁🥳 We are excited to host an outdoor celebration at Bruce Pulman Park on February 16, and it’s going to be a day full of fun, culture, and community spirit.

With traditional music, dance, games, delicious food, and a festive atmosphere, this will be a celebration to remember! From the ritualistic Pongal cooking to the lively Kolam art, we’re bringing the essence of this harvest festival to life in the heart of our community.

🙏 Important Reminder: Registrations are now closed, and we look forward to seeing all registered participants on February 16 at Bruce Pulman Park. Be sure to arrive early, as we have an exciting line-up of activities planned for everyone!
