Kiwi Tamil Samoogam (KTS) is excited to announce our much-awaited annual celebration – Samathuva Pongal 2026! A grand occasion where Tamil culture, togetherness, and tradition take center stage, this event will bring our entire community under one roof to celebrate the harvest festival in its most authentic and colorful form.

🪔 What is Samathuva Pongal?

Samathuva Pongal, meaning "Equal Pongal", is more than just a festival – it’s a reflection of unity and harmony. Every year, KTS hosts this event to embrace and share Tamil traditions, customs, and festive spirit with families, friends, and people from all communities across Aotearoa.

From the boiling of the traditional Pongal pot (பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்!) to showcasing cultural performances, kids’ games, and authentic South Indian food, this is an event not to be missed!
